Wildfire Relief Fund Donation
In Honor of Roland Bacci
On October 8th, 2017, devastating wildfires started in Sonoma, north of Marin County. Strong winds caused a spread that enveloped the area of Napa, Santa Rosa, Ronhert Park killing dozens and forcing thousands to flee their homes. Although we are seeing the end of the burn thanks to our heroic firefighters, the scale of destruction is just now coming into focus. An estimated 5,700 structures have been destroyed, including whole neighborhoods reduced to smoldering rubble. Nearly 100,000 people have been displaced and evacuated. This is truly one of the greatest tragedies California has ever faced.
Recovering from Tragedy
Recovering from a wildfire takes time and a diverse network of organizations and services to make sure people have the help they need. No one can do it alone and we encourage our guests to assist. The American Red Cross is providing shelter, food and comfort as residents cope with the deadliest week of wildfires in state history. Per the American Red Cross Relief Information, since October 12, they have served over 65,000 meals and snacks with partners, provided over 26,000 overnight stays, and made over 5,500 mental health services available to those affected.
